  • Dmitry Matvienko leads the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker in The Grand Series – Wonder on 26 March at 7:30pm at the Liederhalle Beethoven Hall. On the program three works that explore narrative, character and symphonic scale.

The programme opens with Korngold’s Suite from The Adventures of Robin Hood, a score that translates cinematic storytelling into rich orchestral writing. Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks follows, portraying the legendary trickster through sharp contrasts and thematic transformation. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 “Eroica”, a landmark composition that expanded the form and expressive scope of the symphony.
