  • „Étonnez-moi” — surprise me — was more than a phrase; it was a credo that defined the visionary spirit of Serge Diaghilev. A true pioneer, he embraced the unexpected and brought together some of the most extraordinary creative minds of his time in his groundbreaking artistic venture, Les Ballets Russes. Today, we celebrate the birthday of this legendary impresario, whose influence still shapes the world of dance.

Fittingly, the Latvian National Ballet arrives in Budapest tonight, presenting Marco Goecke’s powerful work NIJINSKI this Thursday and Friday, April 2 & 3, at Müpa’s Festival Theatre. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the intensity and brilliance of Diaghilev brought to life by Antons Freimans, soloist of the Latvian National Ballet —a performance as bold and passionate as the man himself.
